In spite of being set in the 20th centaury 1946 and the Farmers becoming rich again, still no inside bathroom, the privy was still at the bottom of the garden and the bath was in the kitchen

 The spinner in Hamptome main house, Jersey was once a supplier of fine stocking's in Tudor ties due to the wool being very fine, it got to the point here that men and women were forbidden to knit them until after the farm work was done as it was being neglected
