The Victorian Baker taking a well earned rest after baking the Traditional Jersey Cabbage Loaf, The oven is heated by burnig gorse inside until red hot, then raked out, and to prevent the loaf getting full of ash it is palced on a cabbage loaf, with another leaf on top, it bakes into the loaf giving it a unique flavor, taken on my Leica IIIf
